Saskatchewan Issues Invitations To 248 Immigration Candidates

The province of Saskatchewan recently organized a draw on March 11 and issued invitations to 248 principal applicants who will now have a chance to get a provincial nomination. They can submit their application within the next few weeks.

Details of the draw

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program or SINP targeted immigration candidates belonging to the International Skilled Worker category. All the candidates required an Expression of Interest or EOI score of 71 in order to receive an invitation. They were also required to provide their Educational Credential Assessments so as to show that their foreign educational qualifications matched the Canadian standard.

72 of the invited vanishes could be eligible for the Express Entry subcategory of SINP while the 176 other candidates have a chance of receiving an invitation via the Occupations In-Demand subcategory.

Saskatchewan aims to satisfy the labor deficits in the province by inviting eligible skilled workers. The selected candidates were required to have professional work experience in any of the 70 occupations-in-demand listed by the province.

Saskatchewan invited immigration candidates from social and community service workers, educational counselors, and purchasing agents and officers. The EOI system of the province lets Saskatchewan select candidates who have the skills to be successful in the provincial labor market.

Candidates will be evaluated on the basis of educational qualifications, language skills, work experience and connections to the province. They are assigned scores out of 100 on the basis of the International Skilled Worker Points Assessment Grid of the SINP.

The Occupations In-Demand sub-category is available to candidates who do not have an Express Entry profile or a job offer in the province yet.
