Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program Issues 259 Invitations

The Canadian province of Saskatchewan organizes regular Immigrant Nominee Programs to invite skilled candidates who can fulfill the labor gaps. On May 6, the province organized the latest draw to issue 259 invitations to immigration candidates. The selected people can now submit their applications for a provincial nomination. Securing a nomination is important for permanent residence seekers because it gives them an advantage over other candidates.

How does the SINP work?

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) has an Expression of Interest system to select candidates from the immigration pool who show potential to succeed in the province. The system helps to manage the pool of candidates for the Occupation In-Demand and Express Entry sub-categories.

When evaluating the candidates, the province considers the following factors: age, educational qualifications, work experience, language skills and connections to Saskatchewan. The candidates receive a score out of 100 based on the International Skilled Worker Points Assessment Grid. The highest-scoring candidates are invited to apply for the provincial nomination.

Details of the draw

During the May 6 draw, Saskatchewan targeted candidates who could fulfill the eligibility requirements of the International Skilled Worker category nominations. 136 of the selected candidates can qualify for the province’s Express Entry subcategory. The other 123 candidates might receive nominations via the Occupations In-Demand sub-category.

All the candidates who received invitations had to secure a minimum EOI score of 70 in order to be eligible. They were also required to have Educational Credential Assessments to prove that their international education qualifications matched the Canadian education system. Selected candidates had work experience in any of the 63 professions listed by the province.
