Manitoba PNP Issues 399 Invitations to Express Entry Candidates

Manitoba PNP Draw

On April 19, the Canadian province of Manitoba organized a draw to invite skilled immigrants. This draw was off the beaten track for the province. Usually, Manitoba holds three Provincial Nominee Program (Manitoba PNP) draws and issues a limited number of invitations to Express Entry candidates. The April 19 draw did not see Manitoba issuing invitations to International Education Stream and Skilled Workers in Manitoba candidates.

Details of the draw

In this recent draw, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) issued invitations to 399 candidates who might fulfill the eligibility requirements of the Skilled Workers Overseas stream. Another unique feature of this draw was that the province set varying Expression of Interest (EOI) score requirements based on the type of invitation. Candidates invited through strategic recruitment initiatives had different score requirements than those with an existing Express Entry profile.

One of the strategic recruitment initiatives led to 30 candidates being invited with a minimum Expression of Interest (EOI) score of 703. A total of 369 candidates also received invitations under a strategic recruitment initiative if they had a minimum EOI score of 708.

The Manitoba PNP will nominate Express Entry candidates only if their profile is still valid at the time of evaluation. The selected candidates can submit their application for the provincial nomination within 60 days of receiving the Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA).

Candidates who are looking to secure a provincial nomination from Manitoba PNP should aim to register an EOI with the MPNP.
