Manitoba PNP draw issues invitations to 199 immigration candidates
The Canadian province of Manitoba organized its 95th Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw on 31st July. The draw invited international student graduates and skilled workers, allowing them to apply for a provincial nomination from the province. The recipients can now begin working on their application and hope to secure a provincial nomination from Manitoba.
Details of the draw:
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program ( MPNP) distributed 199 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) among immigration candidates during the event. LAAs refer to invitations that are given to immigration candidates so they can apply for a provincial nomination, which would help them attain permanent residence in Canada.
Manitoba issued immigration invitations for candidates belonging to the following three immigration streams:
- International Education Stream: 21
- Skilled Workers in Manitoba: 157
- Skilled Workers Overseas: 21
During the draw, 15 of the 199 LAAs were assigned to candidates with existing profiles in the Express Entry system. The successful candidates had to have scored a minimum of 475 points in order to receive an LAA via the Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream. On the other hand, candidates from the Skilled Workers Overseas category required a minimum score of 764 points.
Manitoba has issued LAAs to 2,833 immigration candidates so far this year.
EOI system in Manitoba
It is mandatory for immigration candidates to register an Expression of Interest (EOI) with the MPNP if they are interested in receiving an LAA via the Skilled Workers Overseas and the Skilled Workers in Manitoba categories.
Manitoba’s system ranks all the candidates out of 1,000 points based on human capital characteristics like education, language skills, Manitoba connections, work experience, and more.
