The candidates who are planning to immigrate via the province’s Provincial Nominee Program must submit their Expression of Interest to the MPNP. Once the province is aware that you are interested, you will get an LAA if you meet all the requirements. Manitoba usually ranks people out of 1000 based on certain factors like age, work experience, provincial nominations and others.

Details of the draw

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) decided to invite international graduates and skilled workers during the November 19 draw. The province targeted three immigration streams for this particular round.

  • International Education Stream
  • Skilled Workers in Manitoba
  • Skilled Workers Overseas

Many eligible candidates received invitations or Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) and they will be able to support the provincial labor market. The minimum Expression of Interest (EOI) score requirement for candidates in the Skilled Workers in Manitoba category was 526 and they received 144 LAAs. On the other hand, candidates in the Skilled Workers Overseas received 22 LAAs and the minimum required score was 769. Lastly, candidates in the International Education Stream managed to secure a total of 30 LAAs but they did not have to meet any EOI score requirement.

After the November 19 draw, the total number of invitations issued by Manitoba rose to 4,469 in 2020.
