Manitoba invites 180 candidates in the latest draw

--

The province of Manitoba holds another round of invitation to invite 180 skilled workers, international student graduates and Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence. The MPNP issued invitations under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Worker Overseas and International Education sub-streams.

The MPNP invites candidates periodically from its three pathways:

- Skilled Worker Overseas

- Skilled Worker in Manitoba

- International Education

The invitations issued through the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas are based on an Expression of Interest (EOI) score. To be considered under this category, the candidates first need to create an EOI profile with the MPNP. Then the EOI profile is ranked out of a total score of 1,000. Those with the highest scores are then invited through the regular draws conducted by the MPNP.

In the recent 7th November draw a total of 180 invitations were issued to candidates out of which 133 were issued to candidates under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba category, 24 were issued to Skilled Worker Overseas and 23 to International Education Stream candidates.

The Express Entry candidates invited in the 7th November draw can now apply for a provincial nomination. The candidates who receive a provincial nomination get an additional benefit of 600 points added to their CRS scores. The provincial nomination increases the chances of receiving an invitation in the draw.

Skilled Workers Overseas

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program nominates international workers who possess the skills which are in demand in the province of Manitoba labour market through this stream.

In order to be eligible, the candidate must prove a connection to Manitoba among other criteria. The connection with the province could be close relatives living in Manitoba, previous work experience or education. The candidates can also be invited through the MPNP Strategic Recruitment Initiative.

The minimum score in the Skilled Worker Overseas in the latest draw was 719.

Skilled Workers in Manitoba

The candidates with a full-time offer of employment from Manitoba are eligible to apply under this stream.

The minimum CRS score required in the latest draw was 560 for Skilled Workers in Manitoba.

International Education Stream

Graduates from an educational institution in Manitoba, who possess the skills which are in demand in the province of Manitoba, are eligible to apply under this stream.

So far this year, the MPNP has issued a total of 6,911 invitations to the eligible candidates to apply for the provincial nomination to receive Canadian PR.
