Manitoba Hosts PNP Draw to Invite 367 Immigration Candidates

The province of Manitoba has been fairly active when it comes to inviting eligible candidates to fill the labor gaps. On April 27, Manitoba organized a huge Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw to issue 367 invitations. The selected candidates will now have the chance to submit applications for a provincial nomination.

Details of the draw

Most of the candidates invited by Manitoba were skilled workers already living in the province. The Manitoba PNP draw focused on inviting candidates who could meet the eligibility requirements of the Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream. International graduates and temporary foreign workers with job offers in skilled professions in Manitoba received most of the invitations.

Manitoba also targeted other PNP streams, namely the Skilled Workers Overseas and the International Education Stream. All candidates registered under the MPNP are assigned an Expression of Interest (EOI) score based on their profile. The skilled worker streams have score cutoffs to determine the eligibility of the candidates.

On April 27, a total of 301 invitations were issued via the Skilled Workers in Manitoba, and the minimum EOI score requirement was 440. The International Education Stream accounted for 55 invitations, and there was no EOI score requirement. 11 candidates belonging to the Skilled Workers Overseas stream received invitations with a minimum score of 721. Express Entry candidates received 34 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs).

Anybody interested in getting a provincial nomination from Manitoba has to submit an Expression of Interest. The Manitoba PNP draw will then consider the candidate for an LAA via the Skilled Workers Overseas and Skilled Workers in Manitoba streams.
