Express Entry Draw For Canadian Experience Class Candidates
2020 presented Canadian immigration with many obstacles. IRCC had to change the way they scheduled the draws in order to accommodate the maximum number of people.
Now that the pandemic situation is under control, it seems that Canada wants to restore the old situation. They want to organize draws for Canadian Experience Class candidates just after PNP-specific draws again.
On January 7, Canada decided to organize an Express Entry draw which happened to be the second invitation round in the space of two days. The results of the draw were released the following day.

Canada is starting 2021 strong with two consecutive Express Entry draws. Towards the end of last year, Canada introduced a new immigration plan that will target an increased immigration take in order to make up for the losses due to the pandemic.
IRCC issued invitations to 4,750 candidates belonging to the Canadian Experience Class on January 7. They required a minimum score of 461 under the Comprehensive Ranking System in order to get an Invitation to Apply during this round. The tie-breaking rule was set for September 12, 2020, 20:46:32 UTC.
The earlier draw held on January 6 targeted Express Entry candidates who had managed to secure provincial nominations. The CRS score requirement was 813 or more, and 250 people were successful in securing invitations.
Last year, CEC program-specific draws were taking place in the period between March and August. However, IRCC had to go back to holding all-program draws at the end of the year in order to target more people.
