British Columbia Organizes PNP Draw To Issue 452 Invitations

British Columbia happens to be one of the most immigrant-friendly provinces in Canada. Since the beginning of 2020, British Columbia has been actively holding draws to invite more skilled candidates who can facilitate the economic progress of the province.

On April 13, British Columbia organized the third-largest Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw of the year. Four separate draws were held. A total of 452 eligible immigration candidates received invitations to apply for a provincial nomination from the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) during the draw. The BC PNP wants to make the province an attractive choice for foreign workers with in-demand skills.

Details of the draw

The chosen candidates belonged to the Express Entry BC (EEBC) and Skills Immigration (SI) streams. The required CRS score for the immigration candidates in the largest draw was in the range of 79 and 95. The sub-categories targeted by the BC PNP were Skilled Worker, Entry Level and Semi-Skilled and International Graduate.

British Columbia invited 11 skilled candidates via the Entrepreneur Immigration streams. The province also held two different draws targeted towards people in particular professions.

One of the draws was conducted for wholesale and retail trade managers (NOC 0621) and the other one invited food service managers (NOC 0631). These two draws accounted for 21 invitations together that were distributed among candidates with a minimum score of 113.

All the candidates who received invitations in this draw will be able to submit their applications within 30 days. A provincial nomination will boost their chances of becoming a permanent resident significantly.
