With the end of 2020 crawling near, British Columbia is organizing its final draws. The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program or the BC PNP aims to bring skilled individuals into the province who can benefit the economy and promote growth. There are weekly draws in British Columbia based on any two PNP categories and streams. This allows more applicants to make the cut and try for a provincial nomination.

Details of the recent draw

British Columbia organized a draw on December 1, 2020 to invite skilled candidates. The recipients of the invitations are now free to submit their application for a provincial nomination. One of the main reasons why a provincial nomination is invaluable is that it makes the process of becoming a permanent resident much easier.

During this draw, British Columbia invited 68 candidates via the Skills Immigration and the Express Entry BC streams. The BC PNP Tech Pilot played a crucial role in the draw as it allowed the province to invite candidates belonging to the International Graduate and Skilled Worker subcategories. The minimum score requirement was 80 across all the categories. Only the candidates holding job offers in relevant tech occupations will be able to secure a nomination.

This draw also included the Entrepreneur Immigration stream via which BC PNP managed to issue 11 invitations. All the selected candidates had scores of 121 and above.

If you are interested in immigrating to British Columbia, you should create a PNP profile and register under the SIRS.
