British Columbia Holds Tech Pilot Draw to Invite 90 Eligible Candidates

On April 20, British Columbia draw issued 90 invitations among immigration candidates who are interested in receiving a provincial nomination. British Columbia is one of the most active provinces when it comes to inviting skilled immigrants who can help boost the economy after the pandemic by filling in the labor gaps.

Details of the draw

The candidates who received invitations from the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) can now submit their applications for a provincial nomination. This draw was a part of the Tech Pilot which is a PNP that specifically targets tech workers and foreign students.

Certain tech professions are in high demand in British Columbia. Candidates who want to take advantage of the BC PNP Tech Pilot must have a job offer spanning at least a year in one of the 29 listed professions. They should also be registered in any of the provincial immigration streams already.

The April 20 British Columbia draw distributed invitations amongst candidates belonging to the Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC categories. The people in the International Graduate and Skilled Worker subcategories required a provincial score of at least 80 in order to be eligible. Invited candidates have 30 days to submit their applications.

British Columbia has invited a total of 3,531 candidates this year. If you are interested in the Express Entry BC or Skills Immigration categories, you should create a profile under the Skills Immigration Registration System.
